Polyacrylamide has a very high viscosity, but also because of its special molecular structure, it has the very good water retention, so also has been widely used in construction industry, such as concrete, putty powder, mortar wang, mainly on flocculation, water retention, thickening, adhesion, lubrication and so on, is one of the most common putty powder thickener, binder, refractory slurry thickening water retention agent, etc. Polyacrylamide is specially used in building materials, putty powder, concrete, bentonite, mortar king and some special building materials, so that it will not react, maintain strength at the same time, and has excellent fluidity and water retention performance.
It is mainly used as drilling fluid in building piling. It can play roles as below:
1) Polyacrylamide has a strong flocculation, can flocculate in the drilling process of mud, cuttings, the formation of large floc, it can easy to clean the bottom hole.
2)In addition to flocculation, polyacrylamide also has good viscosity and rheology, in the process of drilling,it can lubricate drill bit and drill pipe, reduce friction, reduce resistance, improve drilling speed, reduce drilling cost.
3) polyacrylamide can protect the sol particles in drilling fluid through multi-point adsorption, adhesive and blocking effect, prevent the filtrate from entering the formation and causing the swelling of clay water, and prevent the collapse of borehole walls.
4) In the process of drilling, due to the geological structure, the drilling fluid will be lost, so the polyacrylamide gel can be used to stop the leakage of cracks and loose rocks.
